Art

Art plays an important role in helping students develop creativity and express the gifts God has given them. Students participate in art class each week, exploring a variety of projects throughout the year. Selected artwork is featured on Artsonia, the world’s largest online children’s art museum, with parent permission. Each spring, Greenwood Christian School also hosts an annual art show, celebrating the creativity and accomplishments of our students.
<span class="h4">Chapel</span>

Chapel

Spiritual growth is at the heart of the Greenwood Christian School experience. Each week, students gather for chapel, a time of worship, prayer, and biblical teaching that reinforces our annual spiritual focus. Throughout the year, students are encouraged and recognized for their character, leadership, and Christ-like example during monthly awards chapels. Parents are always welcome to attend and worship alongside our school community.

<span class="h4">Computers</span>

Computers

Technology is an important part of preparing students for the future. Through weekly technology instruction and hands-on learning opportunities, students develop essential digital skills such as keyboarding, research, problem-solving, and responsible technology use. From educational software to project-based learning, students gain practical experience that equips them for the next step in their educational journey.

<span class="h4">Library</span>

Library

We believe a lifelong love of reading opens the door to endless opportunities for learning and growth. Students regularly visit the library to explore new books, develop their reading skills, and foster a passion for literature. Our library collection supports the Accelerated Reader program, giving students opportunities to challenge themselves, track their progress, and grow as confident readers.

<span class="h4">Music</span>

Music

Music education is an important part of the Greenwood Christian School experience. Through weekly music classes, students develop their skills and appreciation for music through singing, music theory, music history, and performance opportunities. Throughout the year, students prepare for our Christmas and Spring programs, building confidence, teamwork, and creativity as they share their talents with family and friends.
<span class="h4">Physical Education</span>

Physical Education

We believe caring for our physical health is an important part of honoring God. Through weekly physical education classes, students stay active while developing coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits. Throughout the year, students are introduced to a variety of sports and activities, culminating in our annual Field Day celebration at the end of the school year.

Students also have opportunities to continue their athletic development through GC Sports, which offers seasonal sports programs throughout the year.

Special Services

We recognize that some of our students have a few additional needs, and we do our best to help address those. GCS administers quarterly progress assessments to help identify which students could use a little extra help in math and language arts.

Clark Pleasant provides a Teacher of Record, School Psychologist, and a Speech and Language Therapist to work with any students who have an Individualized Educational Plan or an Individualized Service Plan.
